Poem 3: Inner dilemmas
Our brains, constantly in use
Feel and process everything that comes our way
For me this is just as much a pro
As it is a con
There she is!!
She’s laughing, she’s said something funny
She’s checked in on those around her
But what’s going on past that
Are they mad at me?
What did I do wrong?
How can I fix this?
The questions running through her brain
Confidence is built from the ground up
And is more than just how you look on the outside
Wearing a face of calmness
Does nothing if your insides don’t believe it
But I’ve grown
I’ve accepted
And even still I’m still learning
Confidence is built from the ground up
