I thought that the first round of practice interviews today was very interesting and helpful to watch. Thankfully, I did not have to go today, however I do have to go next class which is a little nerve wracking. Even though I am a little nervous to go, it was very helpful to hear the two people go today and kind of get an idea of what I’ll be doing myself on Friday. I give credit to them where it’s due because going in front of the whole class today relatively unprepared is no easy task. One thing I learned for myself as an interviewer was to stay calm and make it an easy environment for the interviewee to be in. Also, it is important to know your role in the company and make sure that it’s known. One thing I learned that I will take with me as the person being interviewed is to come up with good questions to ask, as they are one of the most important parts of an interview. Overall, I think today was very helpful and also almost kind of enjoyable seeing how the whole class got so into the project and evaluating the different steps.
