I think that one piece of advice that I gave that was beneficial was telling a peer to lose some of theĀ filler words in their speech. This is beneficial because filler words can make things begin to sound a little unprofessional or unprepared. Although the context of this speech was not over the top extremely professional, it is always important to pay attention to word choice and tone. Another good piece of advice I think I gave was telling a peer to add a bit of personal narrative to their speech. Including stories about yourself is usually a good way to get the audience involved and can also make things relatable. How relatable things are is a big factor in what we listen to or involve ourselves in so it’s always beneficial to add personality to your talking or writing.
