Week 1

For this project the company I chose to pay attention to was Dunkin donuts. As of right now I am just following their instagram and they are pretty avid posters. I would say they mostly use humor and just general aesthetic to pull followers in. It’s definitely working because they have 2.2 million followers and get a lot of attention on their posts. I chose one post of each design, a cute/ “aesthetically pleasing” one and then also one where they are incorporating humor. Comparing the two, the one with a joke has a lot more comments than the other. I think this would because more people can find it relatable, personally I can so. The other post is a picture of a dog with a coffee and the caption “what my fav dunkin employee sees when they hand me my pumpkin cream cold brew.” The dog is cute and smiling and that is definitely a way to draw people in, I mean who doesn’t love a cute dog. I would say based on first look, it seems like Dunkin donuts knows what they are doing with their advertisement.
