My piece was workshopped today and I think that the feedback I received will help me greatly. A lot of people commented on the better parts of my writing too and I was thankful to receive those compliments as well as the feedback. One thing that will help me a lot is the comments I got on formatting, since that is something I tend to struggle with. For example separating my quotes, adding context and even adding more quotes to my writing. Another thing was people validating the questions I had asked myself, such as should I include specific names for certain things. Most people said yes and that I should. The suggestions that people give during this feedback time are extremely helpful and most of the things said are things I probably never would have thought of myself. Now going forward I will be adding more quotes, specifically from student athletes or students that show up to the dining hall a little late. I will also be re reading my piece a couple times to make sure everything makes sense and to see what parts could be deleted or rearranged.
